Where do FarmEasy’s mandi prices come from?
Prices come from Agmarknet, the Government of India’s agricultural marketing information network, published on data.gov.in as the “Current Daily Price of Various Commodities from Various Markets (Mandi)” dataset. Every price is shown with its date, mandi, district and state.

How often are mandi prices updated?
Mandis upload prices to Agmarknet daily and FarmEasy refreshes that data several times a day. Some mandis report late, so always check the date shown next to each price.

What do minimum, maximum and modal price mean in a mandi?
Minimum price is the lowest bid of the day, maximum price is the highest, and modal price is the price at which the largest quantity was traded. Use the modal price to decide when to sell, as it best reflects the market. All prices are in ₹ per quintal (100 kg).
एक ही फसल का भाव अलग-अलग मंडियों में अलग क्यों होता है?

Why is the same crop priced differently in different mandis?
Prices depend on arrivals (supply), the number of buyers, quality and grade, moisture, transport cost and whether a government procurement centre is nearby. Compare 3–5 nearby mandis before selling and subtract transport costs.

How do I set a price alert for my crop?
Sign in, press the 🔔 button next to your crop on the mandi rates page, choose a target (“above”, “below” or “daily”) and save. When the price reaches your target you get a notification in the website’s 🔔 inbox. The free plan includes 1 alert.

What is MSP?
MSP (Minimum Support Price) is the price at which the Government of India buys crops from farmers through agencies such as FCI and NAFED. The Union Cabinet fixes MSP for 22 mandated crops every year on the recommendation of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP).

What is the difference between MSP and mandi price?
MSP is the government’s fixed procurement price, paid at official procurement centres. The mandi price is set by traders’ bids in the open market and can be above or below MSP. FarmEasy shows how far each mandi price is above or below MSP.

Can I sell my crop on FarmEasy?
Yes. Sign in, open “Sell crop”, add the crop, quantity, price, location, photos and your WhatsApp number. The listing stays on the marketplace for 30 days and buyers contact you directly on WhatsApp. FarmEasy charges no commission and is not a party to the deal.

How do I identify crop disease from a photo?
Upload a clear photo of the affected leaf or plant in the disease scanner. The AI identifies the crop and the likely disease or pest, and suggests one organic and one chemical remedy plus prevention tips. The scanner is included in the Basic, Pro and Trader plans and the AI add-on.

खरीफ और रबी फसलें कौन-सी हैं?
खरीफ फसलें मानसून (जून–जुलाई) में बोई और अक्टूबर–नवंबर में काटी जाती हैं, जैसे धान, मक्का, बाजरा, ज्वार, अरहर, मूंग, उड़द, सोयाबीन, मूंगफली और कपास। रबी फसलें अक्टूबर–दिसंबर में बोई और मार्च–अप्रैल में काटी जाती हैं, जैसे गेहूं, जौ, चना, मसूर, सरसों और कुसुम।
Which crops are kharif and which are rabi?
Kharif crops are sown with the monsoon (June–July) and harvested in October–November: paddy, maize, bajra, jowar, tur, moong, urad, soybean, groundnut and cotton. Rabi crops are sown in October–December and harvested in March–April: wheat, barley, gram, masur, mustard and safflower.

What is the premium for crop insurance (PMFBY)?
Under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana the farmer pays at most 2% of the sum insured for kharif crops, 1.5% for rabi crops and 5% for commercial/horticultural crops; the government pays the rest. Apply through your bank, a CSC or pmfby.gov.in.
